  • Where to report an eBay item you think is fraudulent.
    The eBay Contact Us Page provides a way for buyers to report items that they think might be fraudulent. Be sure to copy the item number from the suspect listing (located in the upper right corner) before heading to this page.

    This site provides handy tools for checking an eBay member's feedback. With these tools you can quickly review all negatives for a specified user.

  • Received an eBay email that you think might be fake?
    If you receive an email that appears to be from eBay, you can verify its authenticity by forwarding the message to spoof@ebay.com. Within 24 hours, you will receive a response from eBay as to whether or not the messsage is a fake. Note that many fakes can be spotted by their poor grammar or misspelled content. Another giveaway is a dire warning that your account is about to be canceled. Whenever you receive an email that appears to be from eBay and asks you to take some action that would reveal your login information, credit card numbers, or other personally identifiable information, proceed with caution. When in doubt, forward the message to spoof@ebay.com.
